Please note: all meetings unless otherwise indicated will be held at Strathearn United Church, 8510 - 95 Avenue.

Built in 1951, the Strathearn Heights Apartments currently consist of 504 dwelling units on an 8.5 ha (21.1 ac) site. The site was rezoned in 1984 and received Council approval for 943 units, but the 22-year old approval is now dated. Subsequent to this approval, 3 additional houses and a retail property have been purchased to bring the total site size to 23 acres.

The owner's vision is for a mixed-use (mainly residential) development that sensitively integrates with the surrounding community and river valley park system and that creates a village centre. Quality architecture, urban design, landscaping and pedestrian linkages are important priorities.

Since the consulting team and owners have worked with a wide range of community representatives to identify and clarify questions and issues of concern and to explore desired value-added amenities that the redevelopment proposal could include to benefit the whole community.
