Public Consultation

The current Strathearn Heights Apartments have been part of the Strathearn community since the 1950s. They have served the community well, but housing and community alternatives are needed to meet modern housing market and community needs.

To achieve that goal, the owner/developer has begun a multi-step public consultation process:

• The first step was to gather input from the community regarding the proposed redevelopment, its various elements and its impact on the Strathearn community.
• Second, the development team has been working with the community to identify mutually agreeable solutions to identified issues.
• Third, the development team will integrate solutions into its final proposed development and share with the community and the City.

The owner/developer want to work with the community toward a win/win solution between enhanced density and enhanced amenities because they believe the benefits of going up in an attractive and responsible way outweigh any disadvantages - while creating and supporting a more sustainable and attractive approach for our neighbourhood and our city.
